Repairing your registry

RegistryBooster repairing your registry

The Scan Results window summarizes the problems found in your Windows registry.

Below the Attention bar is a list of the errors found by RegistryBooster. You may scroll this list and select individual entries to repair or to leave unchanged.

*
By default, RegistryBooster will repair all the identified errors. You can choose to add or remove individual errors, to or from a scan, by selecting or unselecting the adjacent checkbox, as appropriate

*
To repair all errors, click on the Select All check box. Alternatively, by unchecking the Select All check box all errors will be unselected and therefore none will be repaired.

*
If you are happy to accept a certain error, without fixing it, and therefore wish to remove it from the list of errors on the Latest scan results page you can click on the error with your right mouse button. This will call up a pop-up menu and you should then choose Add to ignore list from this menu. The error will then be added to RegistryBooster's ignore list (see Ignore lists for more information).

RegistryBooster also allows you to create a backup of your registry entries before repairing errors found. To do this click on the Create Backup button. Then to repair the selected errors click on the Repair Registry button.

Before repairing your registry, RegistryBooster will give you another opportunity to take either a full or a partial backup of your registry. A partial backup means that RegistryBooster will save only those areas of your registry which it is about to repair.
*
If you have not taken a backup, we advise that you take one now, by clicking Yes. If you have already taken a backup, or don't want to take a backup, then click on No and RegistryBooster will only take a partial backup.

Once RegistryBooster starts repairing your registry, the following progress screen appears showing you the progress of the repair feature. This may take a few minutes and depends entirely on how many and the type of errors that have been found in your registry.
*
You can click on the Cancel button to stop RegistryBooster's repairs at any time

Click on OK and you will then be taken to the Latest scan results page which displays the number of errors found and fixed. For the repairs to take full effect you will need to restart your PC, which you can do by clicking on the Restart Now button at the bottom right of the screen.
